Harsh, steamy weather conditions sweep across US and parts of
Canada
As if angered by humanity and Mother Nature is trying to
unleash her fury, for few days now, the sun has persistently sent down heat
wave scorching and steaming across cities in the US and parts of Canada.
Sweltering temperatures have continuously soared equaling past records or setting new ones as death are recorded in their wake. Many have been confirmed dead in affected cities like Quebec and Montreal, Canada while at least one heat-related death has been reported in Pennsylvania, USA.
Toronto, Canada recorded an extreme heat condition of temperature 33°c on Thursday 7th, 2018 while previously Denver, USA equaled its all-time high temperature record of 40°c on June 28, 2018.
The oppressive combination of severe heat and humidity has led to authorities issuing out warnings advisories to residents to stay hydrated and avoid exertion as the weather condition are expected to last up till at least Friday 6th, 2018.
These extreme weather conditions being experienced in Northern America and some parts of Europe are a stark contrast to what we have in Nigeria.
