NBC bans Olamide's "Wo" four other songs from airplay

National Broadcasting corporation Bans Olamide's "Wo" Other Songs from Broadcast in Nigeria.


The Nigerian Government through its Agency- National Broadcasting Corporation has issued a press release in which it banned some Nigerian songs from being aired nationwide tagging them ''Not to Be Broadcasted". In total, 5 songs were banned by the Corporation which include ''Wavy level'' and the hot new single ''Wo'' by Rapper Olamide who is signed to his self-owned YBNL record Label. Other songs are ''Living Things'' by 9ice and ''Fall'' and ''If'' (Remix) by Davido.
While no specific reasons have not been given for banning 9ice's and Davido's songs, The Federal Ministry of Health had earlier on Friday 18th August, 2017 taken to twitter to say that the video to Olamide’s “Wo” violated the Tobacco Control Act 2015.
